A CARE home is holding a 1940s themed day as part of a national open day.
The Don Thomson home in Dovercourt will be opening its doors as part of National Care Home Open Day on June 20.
Rooms will be decked out in bunting, balloons and vintage decorations with residents and staff dressed up in 1940s tea dresses complete with head scarves and rollers.
There will be afternoon tea from 2pm and 40s and 50s school games to get involved in including marbles, Jacks, Dominoes, pick-up sticks and spinning tops.
The home will be open from 11am to 4pm.
