AN England fan has won a trip to see the Three Lions in the World Cup by keeping his eye on the ball.
Lee Sifford, of Red Barn Lane in Great Oakley secured tickets, accommodation and flights to watch England’s crucial clash with Uruguay in Sao Paulo on Thursday after entering an online contest.
He will also be going on sightseeing tours and football museum tours as part of the incredible prize.
“Before Christmas I entered a competition run by Adidas football on Twitter,” he said “All I had to do was retweet and follow Adidas Football and the profile for the Brazuca ball they will be using in Brazil.
“After that I forgot all about it until one day I opened my account and I had been flooded with messages from around the world saying congratulations and can I come with you?
“Then I scrolled down and found one from Adidas saying I had won the prize.
“I have actually won quite a few competitions on Twitter before so it proves things like this are possible.”
Mr Sifford is jetting out to Brazil with 14-year-old daughter Megan and pal Stuart Ross on Tuesday but is sceptical but England’s chances of even making it through the group stage of the tournament.
