A RUGBY player known for his long locks is going under the clippers for charity.
Ryan Knapton, of Cavendish Drive, Lawford, is saying goodbye to his much-loved hair to raise cash for Mistley Rugby Club's youth teams and the Robin Cancer Trust.
The 24-year-old said: “For the last couple of seasons, my rugby team mates at Mistley RUFC have joked about cutting it off.
“So I thought, before they actually get around to doing it, I would get people to sponsor me to have it cut all off instead.”
So far, Ryan has raised more than £500, but he is hoping for a total of up to £2,000 to support the two causes.
He will donate his hair to the The Little Princess Trust, which makes real hair wings for children who have lost their own through illness.
