A CHARITY cycling team pedalling through 14 countries in 14 days was treated to a mayoral reception.
Team Ciara arrived in Harwich after having started their challenge in Scotland on June 1.
They had travelled 550 miles and covered five countries having left Glasgow and cycled to Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Wales before entering England.
Not only did they get a special welcome from mayor Alan Todd at Harwich's Guidhall to praise them for their impressive feat, but the three men were also offered use of the shower facilities at the Tendring Council owned Dovercourt Swimming Pool.
Lead cyclist Neil Fowler said: "The welcome these people gave us was nothing short of incredible."
Team Ciara are aiming to raise £20,000 and have already secured pledges of £15,900.
