David Cohen, chairman of governors Spring Meadow Primary, gives his view on being a governor during a recruitment drive across Tendring.
"Being a school governor has enabled me to have a positive impact and influence the outcomes that Spring Meadow has achieved.
"It involves a lot of teamwork between the employed staff, parents, children and governors to make a successful and thriving school that is a key part of the local community.
"It is very enjoyable to work with my fellow governors and staff, to see the changes and developments we have been able to make, which have benefitted the children and continued improving their results.
"Any time that you are able to give will be valued, of benefit to the school and ultimately rewarding for you as an individual to feel you have made a difference."
