PUPILS turned into mini traffic wardens to give parents a friendly warning over parking problems.

Youngsters on Dedham Primary School’s council donned high-visibility jackets and handed out posters in the first of their patrols outside the school.

They were joined by members of the school’s governors.

Chairman Jason Skelton said: “In common with many schools, parking is becoming an increasing issue around the school run times.

“The school council were keen to help solve the problem themselves so each pupil came up with a poster design which was incorporated into a mosaic-style image for one poster."

Main parking problems around the school, which is in a cul-de-sac, include parents parking on single yellow lines, across dropped kerbs, and blocking driveways.
