HUNDREDS of roof tiles dumped in a country lane have been cleared up at a cost to the people of Tendring.
The load covered a ten metre stretch of Hilliards Road in Great Bromley causing drivers and cyclists to have to go over the tiles breaking them into pieces.
Tendring Council’s waste and recycling contractor Veolia Environmental Services sent a team and a mechanical sweeper to clear it but the service will cost the tax payer.
The fly-tipping took place between June 8 and 9 and anyone with information is asked to come forward.
Anyone who has any information about this latest incident should contact the 01255 686768 or email recycle@tendringdc.gov.uk.
