GROUNDBREAKING art works designed to attract visitors and engage residents have finally been installed in Harwich.

The Journeyer project has installed art works at a number of different locations across the town including Morse code on Harwich Green.

The code, made using special turf, spells out Journeyer and provides a guiding line between the High and Low lighthouses.

The project is a joint initiative by artists Glassball and Essex County Council.

Artist Cora Glasser said: “We have a number of other Morse Code artworks across the town centre. There is one by the Mayflower Project which has been made out of wood from the ship build and produced by the trainees. There is also a Morse Code artwork by the LV18 which is covered in copper paint used on the bottom of the boats."
