AN AUTHOR and sports television presenter will be swapping his pen for the palace when he introduces a special film in Harwich.

Matt Rendell lives in the town between his work assignments, which most recently include covering the Giro d’Italia - he is currently preparing to cover the 2014 Tour de France for ITV.

But on today he will be taking to the stage at the Electric Palace to introduce a film based on his award-winning book The Death of Marco Pantani.

The Accidental Death of a Cyclist will be screened at 7.15pm and afterwards there will be a question and answer session
