SPEED traps are being set up to catch motorcyclists racing up and down a road on Wednesday nights.
The move follows complaints that riders travelling to the weekly bike meet in Great Bentley are using Cox’s Hill, in Lawford, as a race track.
Residents say motorcyclists are flouting a new 30mph speed limit at the top of the hill and causing so much noise it is “deafening”.
Community speed watch coordinator Mark Cole now plans to patrol on Wednesday evenings with a speed gun.
He said: “Given the light evenings, we have an opportunity to at least show a visible deterrent on the streets."
