A PHOTOGRAPH of school pupils taken a hundred years ago has been recreated.
On Monday afternoon 90 children from Two Village Primary walked across the village and assembled at the Old Rectory for the milestone picture.
They met in the exact same location in Little Oakley as their great grandfather’s had done 100 years ago.
An old photograph of the schoolchildren of the village from 1914 – just before the start of the First World War – has been rediscovered.
Many of the children of 100 years ago are still remembered by villagers, with many of them still having relatives in the area.
Copies of the new photograph, along with its 100 –year old predecessor will be sold during the School fete being held today.
