A YOUTH charity is celebrating after being given a £29,000 grant to turn a workshop into a community room.
Teen Talk in Harwich has been given the money by the Veolia Environmental Trust in a bid to help the project be realised.
The workshop is currently used for arts and crafts and practical activities.
It is hoped it will be transformed into a meeting space which will allow more groups to become involved.
Teen Talk were one of 54 grants given out at Veolia’s board meeting last month.
Hayley Lovett, of Teen Talk, said: “This grant is a major contribution to our work to create such a space.”
