CHARITY bosses have hailed a volunteer who is still going strong at the age of 90.

Doreen Rutson-Kemp acts as treasurer for Harwich and District Age Concern despite reaching the milestone birthday on June 18.

Secretary Dorothy Cole is hoping Mrs Rutson-Kemp carries on for many years to come.

“Doreen has been treasurer for several years now and has been involved in the charity in some form since it started in 2000,” said Dorothy.

“She is still very good at what she does and can be found at the Park Pavilion on duty on Tuesday and Thursdays.

“We all hope she can on for a few more years yet because we would miss her if she was not involved.

“Everyone at Age Concern would like to wish Doreen a very happy birthday.”
