A TALENTED 12-year-old has hit the right note and been accepted into a prestigious national children's band.
Ellie Bould, of Valley Road in Dovercourt, has been awarded a place on the National Children's Brass Band of Great Britain.
The cornet player had to reach grade five on the instrument and play at an audition before being given the honour, which will see her given specialist training sessions and perform at top venues across the country.
Mum Emma, said: "I'm so proud of her.
"It's a real achievement to get in, they only take elite, gifted and talented musicians and they only have 56 places."
