A POTENTIALLY lifesaving piece of equipment is now in place in Manningtree.

The Co-op’s Every Minute Counts campaign has led to a community access defibrillator being donated to the Foundry Court Community Centre on Colchester Road.

It is now in housed in a stainless steel cabinet on the front of the building in case of emergencies following a special class where residents and town councillors were shown how to use the new unit and basic CPR skills.

The East of England Co-Op is installing 100 defibrillators in towns and villages across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.
