MOUNTAINEERS were in training at a specially-themed holiday club.

Children have been lapping up the fun during the summer break and taking part in a range of activities.

Youngsters climbed an imaginary mountain ‘Trinity Tops’ at Highfields Primary in Lawford, where Trinity Free Church staged a week of fun.

There were crafts, games, jar painting and bible stories across the five days which is set to end with a barbeque for family on Friday.

As part of the week the children were discovering some of the things that happened to Jesus during the last week of his life on earth.

Youth worker Ruth Cross said: “It has been a really fun week.

“It has been a mixture of learning and being creative with lots of games and crafts and bible stories.”
