A SPECIAL exhibition is set to relive the 140 years of the Harwich to Esbjerg ferry route.

The route, run by DFDS, will be shut down in September because of spiralling costs and new sulphur emission regulations.

The Maritime Museum of Denmark is now asking for people to send in their pictures of life on board the ferries.

Photos can be of friends and family in the cabin, the resturant or on the car deck and pictures taken out across the North Sea.

The photographs can be sent to Marie at mo@mfs.dk. They are asking that please add a few lines about the photograph: when and where is it taken, who the persons in the picture are and what they are doing.

The exhibition about the Harwich-Esbjerg ferry opens at the M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark in Elsinore October 8.
