AN annual amble through an idyllic setting, described as the most sedate fun run imaginable, is back for the sixth time.
All are welcome to Bobbit’s Stroll, an open day at Bobbit’s Hole nature reserve off Main Road in Dovercourt, on Sunday.
Admission is free but visitors are asked to make a donation to charity for the privilege of strolling around the lake and enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the reserve.
This year’s good cause is Hedgehog Haven Essex.
The Harwich Society manage the area and chairman Colin Farnell said: “We are always delighted to show visitors around Bobbit’s Hole but the day of the Bobbit’s Stroll event is a particular pleasure."
Face painting, bee keeping demonstrations and a children’s hedgehog fact finding trail will be on offer from 10am.
