GOALKEEPER Sam Cowler is counting the days until the new season after re-signing for Barnet.
The former Frinton and Walton Youth Football Club protege has agreed a one-year contract with the Conference Premier side.
It follows a frustrating period of inactivity, breaking his hand at Christmas and then tearing ankle ligaments after returning in February.
And after penning a new deal to keep him in full-time football, he admits he is itching to get started.
“It’s great to be back at Barnet,” said Cowler, who spent last season at Conference South side Bishop’s Stortford.
