A PHOTOGRAPHER is calling for help to find a mystery siren that has been causing sleepless nights for a decade.
John Simpson, of Skelton Close, Lawford, has been woken up numerous times by the untraceable shrill, one minute-long noise.
The issue has been ongoing for more than ten years on and off and Mr Simpson, 52, said it is worse than ever.
Since May 31 he has recorded the siren more than 29 times, including three times in one day on July 24.
He said: "It is a high-pitched, shrill, constant note. It lasts for exactly one minute each time and I don’t know what sets it off."
