A NEW domestic abuse sticker campaign has been launched by the Tendring Citiizens Advice Bureau.
The scheme, entitled Behind Closed Doors, will see A5 stickers placed in public toilet cubicles to highlight the issue and encourage victims to come forward and ask for help.
Chief executive Linda Isaac said: “The stickers ask people to question whether their relationship is healthy.
“They also give examples of behaviour which could indicate abuse within a relationship, and the earlier people get help the better.
“There is help available for both victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse who realise they have a problem and want to change.”
The advice service is searching for more toilets to display the campaign stickers.
To get involved call 01255 377080 or email canary@cabtendring.org.uk.
If you are a victim of domestic abuse you can talk to advisers at the CAB in confidence or call the National Domestic Violence Freephone helpline on 0808 2000 247.
