BRAVE shop managers have taken part in an icy challenge storming social media.
Sarah Bailey, manager of Harwich's One Stop shop, and two colleagues from other stores, tipped buckets of ice and water over their heads before running into the north sea on Tuesday.
The stunt was an ice bucket challenge, a craze which has spawned hundreds of internet videos of celebrities and non-famous people alike dousing themselves in cold water to raise awareness and money for the fight against motor neurone disease.
So far those taking part, which have included David and Victoria Beckham and Benedict Cumberbatch, have helped to raise more than £1million for the UK Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Sarah as well as Ashleigh Wiggins and Serena Gregoire from Colchester are hoping their challenge will add at least £70 to the charity.
