BIG-HEARTED fundraisers have been thanked for their support of a charity trip to Thailand.

Money from community dog walks, a school fete and quiz nights went towards Year 12 and 13 pupils from Harwich and Dovercourt High School take part in the trip in July.

The group visited Viengping children’s home, which cares for children from babies to 18 years old, whose parents are unable to look after them or whose homes were destroyed in natural disasters.

Rebecca Hodnett, who took part, said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to all the communities who helped the Harwich and Dovercourt Sixth Form in raising money to go to Thailand in July.

“All the students had an amazing experience and would love to go abroad and help many other charities through their life time.”
