LITTER louts on wheels hurled fast food remains and takeaway wrappers at cyclists in a random attack.
Julie Harmer was cycling with her husband Brian in Great Oakley on Saturday evening when yobs overtook them and threw the remains of a McDonalds meal out the window.
Although neither of the riders were hurt, Mrs Harman of Wix was shaken by the incident.
“It was without doubt aimed at us,” she said.
“These people were not just regular littler louts; they wanted to trip us up and threw it out of the car at us.
“If the litter had hit me then I would have come off my bike and been badly hurt.
“I am troubled by two things – firstly the deliberate littering of our villages.
“Secondly, I cannot understand why motorists or their passengers would think for one moment it is acceptable to throw rubbish in front of cyclists or anyone.”
