DETECTIVES are appealing for information after burglars stole a computer and two diamond rings from a house in Dovercourt.

Crooks entered the property in Manor Road between 8.15am and 4.45pm on Monday via an insecure garage door.

They carried out a messy search and made off with a cherry red Packard Bell laptop and the jewellery.

Investigating officer Det Con Bernadette Lord said: “The rings are quite distinctive; one is a diamond ring with a yellow metal surround with the metal cupping the diamond underneath with silver edging.

“The other is a white metal wavy ring with multiple diamonds either side of the waves.

“I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone suspicious who may have been in the area or to anyone who may have been offered the items for sale.

“The items are worth around £2,950.”

Anyone with any information should contact Det Con Lord at Clacton CID on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
