AN MP is set to open a seminar on how to rebrand Harwich.
Bernard Jenkin will kick off an event organised by Enable East which could help attract big-name shops and tourists to the town.
There will also be a question and answer session with Ivy League professor David Shore who is a world authority on branding, reputation and trust and has previously worked with Disney and Marriott.
A demonstration and display by ambitious shipbuilding scheme The Mayflower Project will also be on show.
Enable East director Susannah Howard said: “So far we have had fantastic support from businesses and networks in Harwich and further afield and are thrilled Bernard Jenkin will open the seminar."
The event is being held from 9.30am until 12.30pm at The Waterfront on Lower Marine Parade in Dovercourt on Friday October 3.
Tickets for the event cost £50, however organisers are offering concessionary rates for individuals and smaller businesses.
