Memorable night as Olympic medallist tells inspiring tale
AN Olympic gymnast has spoken to a Rotary club about her drive to succeed.
Beth Tweddle was a speaker at the annual Three Club Meeting for Harwich and Dovercourt, Ipswich Wolsey and Woodbridge Deben Rotary clubs.
The London 2012 bronze medallist talked about her childhood and also her disappointment after missing out on medals at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic games.
Greg Bloss, Harwich and Dovercourt Rotary spokesman, said: “The principal speaker was Beth Tweddle MBE who provided a truly memorable insight into her early life with her family and to the dedicated support provided by her parents to encourage her to follow her dream of gymnastics that lead to her successes on the world stage."
