Cash prize being offered to car sharers
DRIVERS are being encouraged to share lifts with fellow road users in an effort to help the environment.
The Essex Car Share website allows people to request and offer lifts to people making the same journeys as them.
Essex County Council is encouraging people to sign up for the service as part of Liftshare Week. Every person who sends a request to share a lift on the website before Sunday will go into a draw to win £250.
The purpose of the scheme is to reduce travel costs, congestion and CO2 emissions.
