Get ready for winter at council event
A SPECIAL event offering advice on preparing for winter is being held in Dovercourt on Wednesday.
Tendring Council’s emergency planning team is hosting the Get Ready for Winter event at the Park Pavilion, in Barrack Lane, Dovercourt.
The Environment Agency, Met Office, trading standards, Essex Fire Service, Affinity Water and Anglian Water will be on hand to give advice between 10am and 4pm.
There will be a chance to pick up tips on issues such as what to do when the temperature drops, how to cope in stormy conditions, or when the snow falls and roads around the area get iced up.
