A TRIP to Australia, a BMW and a new house are all on the cards after a school syndicate scooped a massive £1million EuroMillions win.

The 23-strong group of teachers and support staff from Brooklands Primary School in Brantham will each get £43,478.26 after the win on the Millionaires Raffle last week.

The Team Brooklands syndicate has been running for almost eight years playing EuroMillions with Lucky Dips.

School Secretary and Syndicate leader, Helju Cross, bought the tickets for the draw last Tuesday and was shocked to learn the results the next day.

She said: “I popped into the newsagent to have the tickets checked and was delighted that we’d won £6, then another £2 so imagine my surprise when I was told that our third winning ticket was too much to pay out there and then."
