MARK White believes FC Clacton are in safe hands with boss David Coyle in the Seasiders hot-seat.

The latter took charge in late October and notched his first point from Saturday’s 2-2 draw at home to Haverhill Rovers.

Assistant White pulled on his boots again, due to a shortage of players, and believes bright times are on the horizon with Coyle back at the Rush Green Bowl.

The pair were previously at the club together during Coyle’s highly-successful first spell in charge, between 2007 and 2010.

“I’ve known Dave a long while,” said striker White.

“I know what he’s about and what he wants to achieve here.

"He gets results, at the end of the day.

“You can either work hard, get your head down and be part of it, or walk away if you’re not willing to put the effort in.

“The players who are here know that if they want to learn and want to play at this level, they’re not going to have a better manager than Dave.

“Coaching is what he does for a living – not just a hobby.”
