HOLLAND FC have their sights fixed on promotion.

The ambitious club have officially applied to move up to step six football.

They are currently joint-top of the Essex and Suffolk Border League – second but level with leaders West Bergholt, following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Coggeshall.

And chairman Mark Sorrell has confirmed that the club have applied to the FA to move up to the Thurlow Nunn League.

“We’d certainly like to go up this season and have officially applied to the FA,” said Sorrell, recently named Unsung Hero at the Tendring Sports Personality Awards.
