PROPOSALS which could see the end of chaos caused by a notorious railway underpass and commuter parking have been revealed.
A plan of action for Manningtree railway station was discussed at a meeting between councillors and train bosses Abellio last month.
The details of the plans have now been revealed ahead of Monday’s meeting of Tendring Council’s community leadership and partnership committee.
In the short term it would see traffic lights installed and plans for a filter lane accessing the station drawn up.
Councillors also want to widen the railway bridge at the station as part of long term actions and want infrastructure plans for the station included in the authority’s local plan.
