A NEW tenant for Dovercourt’s much-loved seafront skating rink will be announced in the coming weeks.
Two tenders have been received by Tendring Council, which owns the site on Lower Marine Parade.
Both tenders will now be evaluated before a successful bidder is chosen.
The rink was closed last year after a lease with the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes ended.
Mick Page, Tendring Council leader, said: “We are talking about a prominent location on Dovercourt seafront and we do not want it standing empty a day longer than is necessary."
