FC CLACTON manager David Coyle believes his rejuvenated side can ruffle feathers in the next month – despite facing high-flying opposition.

The Seasiders celebrated their first victory in ten matches as Aaron Condon netted all four goals in Saturday’s 4-1 triumph at basement boys Ely.

They are now preparing for a tricky March, starting with this weekend’s Thurlow Nunn League premier division trip to Felixstowe and Walton.

After that they host reigning champions Hadleigh United (on March 14) before facing promotion-chasing neighbours Stanway Rovers (March 17).

“Last week’s win gives us real hope and tells (fourth-from-bottom) Wivenhoe we’re not going away without a fight,” said Coyle, whose side remain in the relegation zone and five points from safety, following the Dragons 1-1 draw at Stanway on Tuesday night.

“The next month is going to be hard and we’ve got a really tough run of fixtures.

“We’ll have to pull off some serious performances to get anything from those games but I know my players are good enough."
