A HISTORIC foot ferry which runs from Harwich could be lost after more than 100 years of sailing.
The ferry, which runs between Shotley, Harwich and Felixstowe, is due to stop running at Easter.
Current owner Alan Sage is to retire in April and two potential buyers have failed complete a deal to take over the ferry.
Mr Sage, 64, of Harwich, said: “I have been running the ferry for 11 years now and while it has been fabulous, it is time for me to retire.”
Anyone who wants more information should call Mr Sage on 07919 911440.
