A SPORTS journalism student is taking on his fear of heights to raise money for an Alzheimer’s charity.
Daniel Racheter, of Main Road, Dovercourt, will complete a tandem skydive this summer.
The 23-year-old is raising money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Research UK, a charity he believes “goes under the radar”.
He said: “It’s something I have wanted to do for a long time and this is a charity which is important to not only me, but my partner as well whose nan passed away last year from dementia.”
Daniel, who is studying at London’s University of Arts, hopes to raise £550.
He added: “I wanted to do the thing that scared me most and heights is the worst for me – but the support and donations I have received so far are amazing, and it should be a great day when I come to do it.”
