LIGHTHOUSES will be appearing all over town this summer as part of this year’s Harwich Festival of the Arts.

Organisers have taken inspiration from the Leading Lights and High and Low Lighthouses in the town, and cut-outs in a variety of shapes and sizes will be popping up all over Harwich.

Among the highlights of this year’s festival will be a British gospel choir, a performance from the up-and-coming Fieri Consort and a concert of Vivaldi’s Season’s with Purcell and Handel given by young musicians from the Royal College of Music.

Local talent will also be given their chance to shine and there will be art on display, including a retrospective of works inspired by Dutch artist Piet Mulder.

There will also be plenty of free events featuring dance, theatre and poetry and music from folk, rock and jazz bands.

This year’s festival runs from June 25 until July 6.
