A HORSE charity has launched a huge fundraising drive to help it move to new premises.
Harwich Horse Rangers, which has been running for 25 years, was served notice on its yard and a field it uses for grazing at the beginning of this year.
It has until May 2016 to relocate.
The charity hopes to raise £25,000 towards the move.
So far, it has raised £20 through a sponsored silence and £800 with a bag pack at Morrisons, as well as £480 from an open day last month.
The group has also set up a Just Giving page. On Monday, the Horse Rangers held a second open day, when more than £700 was collected.
Youngsters enjoyed pony rides, a treasure hunt and got to groom the horses.
Trustee and fundraising officer, Mel Mallett, said: “We had a fantastic day on Monday and it was really well attended.
“It just shows we have been well supported by the local community.”
