TEENAGERS are being invited to join an Army Cadet group in Manningtree.

The group, which is based in Mill Lane, is on the lookout for new members.

Activities include camping, orienteering, kayaking, archery and shooting, as well as the opportunity to make friends and build confidence.

The Manningtree group, which has ten members, meets on Tuesdays between 7pm and 9pm and is led by Russell Jones and Karen Aldous.

Sergeant Instructor Jones said: “In the Cadet force, we give young people the chance to go further in life by introducing them to acceptable standards and values through fun, exciting activities. We offer a wide range of activities, but most of all we provide friendship and a family atmosphere where Cadets can realise their full potential, no matter what they choose to do in life.”
