FC CLACTON are freezing their season-ticket prices for next season.

The club have reluctantly confirmed that they will be increasing their matchday admission prices to £7 for adults and £3.50 for concessions.

But they are introducing a new scheme whereby a fan under the age of 18 can gain free admission when accompanied by a paying adult.

In a joint statement, co-owners Stephen Andrews and David Ballard said: "We deliberated long and hard about putting up prices.

"It really is a last resort and we are sorry to have to do so but, in the end, with costs rising we had little choice.

"We thank you for your understanding and can't wait to see our excellent supporters, both old and new, in the season ahead."
