ECO-FRIENDLY teenagers tidied up a popular part of Harwich beach as part of a national initiative for young adults.
A group of ten 16-year-olds were taking part in the National Citizen Service scheme which aims to bring youngsters from across the country together to develop greater confidence, self-awareness and responsibility.
Tendring Council provided litter picking equipment and the youngsters collected four bags of rubbish from the beach off Wellington Road.
Anyone interested in arranging their own litter pick can contact the council’s waste management team on 01255 686788.
