CHARITY runners are donning their tutus for a pub run to raise cash and awareness.

Tanya Ferguson has organised the run tonight from Ye Olde Cherry Tree in Little Oakley, through various pubs in Dovercourt and Harwich and ending up at The Alma Inn.

Four runners will be dressed in colourful outfits with tutus and have collection buckets to try and drum up support for two causes.

Lauren Franklin is running for multiple sclerosis while Tanya is collecting for the Stroke Association in honour of Adrian Clarke, of Harwich, who suffered a brain stem stroke last October.

The pub run is also acting as a warm up to the Great North Run Tanya, Lauren and friend Emma Woodward will be taking part in on September 13.

For both events Lauren, 40, from Harwich, will be raising money for multiple sclerosis as her mum, Pauline Woodward was diagnosed with the condition in 1996.
