A GROUP of travellers have left the Strangers Home Inn campsite after being served with an eviction order by the landowners.
The group had been pitched at the site for over a week, causing the pub to shut temporarily while the owners dealt with criminal damage and mess.
A spokesperson for the pub said: “We’ve had a lot of support which has been great.
“The clean-up is done and it is good to be back up and running again.”
The order was served on Friday requiring the group, which consisted of about 15 caravans, to leave by 1pm the following day.
The pub re-opened at around 6pm on Saturday after a large clean-up operation on the site.
Both the pub and the campsite are now running as normal
