Civic service supports church and Mayflower Project
MORE than 150 guests filled St George’s Church in Great Bromley for Tendring Council’s annual civic service.
Five standard bearers from the Royal British Legion welcomed the procession of guests into the church for the service, led by the Rev Samantha Winney.
The theme of the service was ‘encouraging young people into work’ and the collection during the service was shared between the church and the Harwich Mayflower Project.
Council chairman Fred Nicholls, who hosted the event, said it was an excellent opportunity to promote and celebrate all that is good in the district.
