HEARTY songs of the sea will fill the air around Harwich this weekend as the annual Sea Shanty Festival returns.
Growing year on year, the event will mark a decade since the festival’s humble beginnings.
In a programme jam-packed with things to do and see, performers from across the country and abroad will entertain at a variety of venues.
The Redoubt Fort will be open with sea shanties, a military encampment, workshops and a re-enactment of the Battle of Trafalgar.
Other events will be held over the weekend at The New Bell Inn, Alma Inn, The Stingray, Hanover Inn, Samuel Pepys, Harwich Brewery, Crown Post, Electric Palace and the Ha'Penny Pier.
