HOLLAND FC continued their excellent start to the Essex and Suffolk Border League season with an emphatic victory against Harwich and Parkeston.
They won Saturday’s premier division contest 4-0, thanks to goals from Steve Eaton, Joe Martin, Bruce Poole and Ross Thorogood.
The latter was named man-of-the-match.
Holland have now won four of their opening five matches, drawing the other.
Their next fixture is this weekend’s home game against Earls Colne.
WEELEY ATHLETIC were in Essex Premier Cup action on Saturday.
And they maintained their winning ways with a 3-0 victory at Debden Sports Club.
Ross Nash scored a hat-trick in the first-round tie.
Weeley return to division one action this weekend with a trip to Alresford Colne Rangers Reserves.
