A POPULAR dramatic society is performing a comedy thriller.

East Bergholt Dramatic Society will perform Thirteen Past Midnight by Billy St John on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm in the Constable Memorial Hall, East Bergholt.

When powerful millionaire Victor Winslow, producer of a popular TV soap opera, invites members of the cast and crew to his mansion for a party, none of them dare to refuse.

Winslow informs his guests that he has assembled them to help him develop a new murder mystery game he’s invented called Thirteen Past Midnight.

But before the game begins, the host gives the players ample motives to want to kill him for real.

The game becomes deadly when Victor is discovered stabbed in the neck with a dart, and Pete Griffin, a private investigator hired to act as a consultant, must try to trap the murderer before he or she can strike again.

Filled with laughs and chills, Thirteen Past Midnight will make the audience think twice before accepting an invitation to a murder mystery evening.

The dramatic society was founded in the 1960s and currently has about 20 members.

The group performs two plays each year, usually a comedy and a thriller.

Previous shows include the world premiere of Will You Still Love Me In The Morning, Last Tango in Whitby, Allo Allo and Dad’s Army.

Tickets are £7 on the door or £6 if ordered in advance from 07891974844, 01206 396674 or from The Fountain House Tea Room in East Bergholt.
