Russ is the hat-trick hero in cup rout
WEELEY ATHLETIC eased into the next round of the Essex Premier Cup after a comfortable 6-1 victory at home to Ramsden Scotia.
Man-of-the-match Russ McLean helped himself to a hat-trick and he was joined on the scoresheet by Ross Nash (two) and Scott Rawlinson.
Weeley return to Essex and Suffolk Border League division one action on Saturday.
Mersea Island are their opponents, at Vista Road.
HOLLAND FC had been due to entertain Cirque Port, in the third round of the Essex Premier Cup.
However, the tie was postponed, because of a waterlogged pitch.
They have no game this coming weekend, either, due to the Border League Representative side being in FA Carlsberg Inter League System Cup action against Jersey.
