YOUNGSTERS can look forward to an exciting and extensive programme of fun and activities during the half term break.

A host of sessions have been organised to take place at sports centres and pools in Harwich and Manningtree between Febrauary 15 and 19.

These will include indoor, outdoor and water-based activities – with something for all ages to enjoy.

The long list of games to enjoy include football, karate, canoeing, basketball, trampolining, squash, street dance, archery, netball, wall climbing, roller disco, dodgeball and synchronised swimming.

Dovercourt Swimming Pool, in Wick Lane, has arranged some aquatic activities for the week, including inflatables and short swimming course lessons.

Mick Skeels, Tendring Council’s cabinet member for leisure, tourism and events said he hopes that young people around the District will take full advantage of the opportunities on offer.

“We want to be able to help children and young people improve their overall health and well-being whilst having fun at the same time,” he added.

Full details of the activities, venues, costs and timings are available from the council’s centres and on their website, www.tendringdc.gov.uk
